Scotland v Georgia [20 June 2023]

 

This game at Hampden Park will live long in the memory for those that were there, and to those watching on TV and listening on the radio. The whole evening proved that working at events requires a lot of flexibility and the need to be able to adapt.

Credit goes to the hugely talented, committed and calm Stadium Management & Operations Teams that work on big match nights at The National Stadium. Their collective skills were much in evidence - it’s always great to work with good people.

We have received a lot of kind comments for having to fill 90 minutes with music. Stadium Announcer Graeme Easton was interviewed by STV News on Wednesday, and I appeared on BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast Show (link at bottom of page) to provide insight into how we dealt with the delays. Right at the heart of it was the fact we were surrounded by good people.
